Good morning to me! *belum mandi*
I'm so happy because it's very rare for me to get enough sleep during weekdays.
Not rare honestly but almost impossible. #lifeofadentalstudent
Haha. Samalah tu kan? *lantaklah*
Haha. Samalah tu kan? *lantaklah*
Last week had been super hectic due to juggling my studies, labs and pretests and TKG (Teknologi Kedokteran Gigi) stuff that I had to redo twice! Bad luck. =,=
Anyway, I finally did my second denture! Hahaha.
But it's kinda ugly.
Hahaha.
I think I need more practice. Hahaha.
Well what can you expect when you're to make it with some old fashion method, right?
This is a gyps model (Model bawah), the resin (pink part is the resin)
So basically, we have to break the gyps to get the resin.
Terserah lah what you want to use to break the gyps.
I used hammer. Hahaha.
Kontra model.
Nah, after getting your resin. It'll be something like this. So you'll have to wash it and do a bit of finishing and polishing using a minidrill and arkansas stone.
(not yet hooglans because I haven't done my finishing and polishing..hahah)
Hooglans = shiny (for dentures)

By the way, I have just finished my Anatomy review yesterday evening.
In case you're wondering how Anatomy review is...
It's like you're given the bones.
It can be real or fake bones, human bones and then u have to tell every single part of the bones to the Anatomy lab assistant, the muscles, the nerves, the arteries and the veins that go through every single foramen and bla bla bla. The functions of the muscles, origo or incersio..
If you get it wrong, the lab assistant will correct you. If nasib buruk and you get those super garang lab assistant.. OH NO.
It was hard. I tell you.
And the lab assistant will challenge you to see if you're confident with your answers or not.
*STRESS!!!*
The terms are according to the international standard on human anatomical terminology developed by Federative International Committee on Anatomical Terminology (FICAT) so all the terms would be in latin.
So even when your textbooks are using antomical terms in English, you will have to translate it into latin. Sometimes I feel like my brain is my version of Google Translate. I always translate from English to Bahasa Indonesia or latin (for Anatomy only) and vice versa. :)
By the way, if you think for Anatomy you'll only be learning head and neck then you'll be very dissappointed.
Here, according to our syllabus, we have to learn the whole body that includes the system and everything.
So basically you're both medical and dental student. Haha. Geddit?
But one thing that being a dental student in UGM, we're used to be under so much stress.
Haha.
Juggling 14 subjects, pretests and 4 labs per week.
Show you my exam card. In case you think I'm kidding you. HAHA.
If mentally you're not strong enough, then you would'nt be able to survive.
If by personality means you're a loner and the type who studies and not caring about the rest of the people, you hardly can survive too. Because the way things are here, it's just too hard and too much to handle it on your own. A lot of times, you need help. And you gotta love what you do to be able to persevere.
Last but not least, I'm so thankful to have friends who helped me throughout the times.
THANK YOU!
